The collection ‘Lived-in Nostalgia’ explores themes of transit, repetition, memory and familiarity as core to the human experience. It is inspired by the documentation of traces of human movement and transition, and the evidence of ‘lived-in’ experiences found within everyday textures, surfaces and surroundings. The knitted textiles in this collection embody this idea by being structured technically to allow for them to concave, surge and curve, whilst simultaneously remaining evocative through fluid shapes and colours. The fabrics have been designed in the context of knitted womenswear and possess inherent structures and shapes which exist to accentuate, mould and cling to the female form.
