Communication Design School of Design

Chloe Brown

My practice is strongly concept-driven, meaning that my design process focuses on forming an informed and considered rationale. As a result, my approach to design relies heavily on initial experimentation and a body of primary and secondary research. During my course I became increasingly curious about the visuality of graphic design because I was led to consider how my work and the work of my peers is heavily driven by solely visual methods and mediums. Although my projects are theoretical, I believe it is important to source the skills and knowledge for designing for different audiences.

Making Sense

The project that I worked on throughout the year was a sensory transcription of the Scottish Landscape in the form of an exhibition. This project encompassed a number of different elements like curation, editorial design, and branding.
