Ellie James is a Glasgow based artist, that makes art because it is fun.
Her work revolves around how something is made, and the finer details of the making process. The visual impact of the work if the most important element. Every angle of the work has to considered as pieces will be able to be seen from a 360 perspective.
Heartfelt
‘Heartfelt’ is a large soft sculpture.
I consider this work a self portrait. Each body, that makes up the larger heart shape, is a model of my own body. By casting myself I was able to make four exact replicas, to create each chamber of the heart.
To create this work I put my heart and soul into it.
