Two sides of a four side story

@murrayyoung_art

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Two sides of a four-sided story can be viewed in multiple contexts depending on who you imagine might be hiding within the helmets. Each Helmet is connected by tension wire to a concrete weight on the opposing side applying strain upon the steel fence and keeping it upright as a barrier, divide or obstacle. The helmet’s function is to humanise the weights they sit upon and the weight they are connected to acts as a symbol for the reason there might be a divide, barrier or obstacle between the two figures seen here as helmets. When the wights are removed the strain propping up the fence is diminished and it will collapse ending the divide. This might be an argument or a love story depending on what and who you bring to the work and what they represent.
