Ruby Caldwell-Hardie

Working with raw and malleable materials such as wood, wool, paper and wax, I investigate the somatic process and the energy of object-making. My work filter through the noise of the everyday, seeking clarity through movement and tactile processes to better understand the world, as I worked my hands to sooth my brain. Through these responsive materials I utilise organic, oftentimes ancient way of creating where the final product is merely a by-product of this intuitive process. I seek to capture the energy of making, wishing to share this vitality in a way that is akin to the communal nature of dancing
