During the pandemic, we were stripped away off our understanding of what normalcy is and we felt as though our senses were threatened. With the mask, hiding half of our faces disrupting taste and the constant instruction to sanitise then clean our hands etc., the question I seek is what is our five senses now? One of the senses that I feel was affected, was touch.
No shaking each other hands when meeting, refrain yourself from touching door handles, use elbows instead. When touch becomes obsolete, do we develop a new sense?
Perhaps our hands might develop a sense of loneliness or independence.
