Cloud Seeding
“A cloud spotter is not a cataloger – meteorologists are busy indexing the different genera, species and varieties of clouds on your behalf. They call it work. Yours is far more gentle and a reflective pursuit – one that will lead to a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional and spiritual world.” (pg. 25 of The Cloud Spotter’s Guide by Gavin Pretor-Pinney). This quote is describes in a few sentences what I have tried to aim for in my project “Cloud Seeding”.
My work with weather has been to read descriptions of weather, and relate them to something more emotional, more intuitive and perhaps in some cases more childish. I have hoped to channel feelings of depression, arguments, love, hope and dreams through descriptions of clouds, humidity and wind.
