Fine Dining
A collection of woven pieces exploring the intricacies of fine dining. Focusing on colour and texture, the project examines and deconstructs the sensory details that define the fine dining experience. While observing behind the scenes I noticed that everything placed on a dish serves a clear purpose. I reference primary research photographs I have collected and these experiences have led me to think about what people take away from fine dining. I have used mercerised cotton and monofilament to add a sense of shine and delicacy, which reflects the qualities found in the food itself. This collection aims to be unique focusing on light and texture within a restaurant setting.
