Product Design

School of Innovation & Technology / 31 students / Haldane Building

Product Design reframes design as a critical interface between technology, society and future living. Programmes foster a transdisciplinary, globally aware practice, equipping students with both strategic insight and practical skills. Moving beyond traditional industrial models, the curriculum emphasises experience, systems thinking and collaboration across fields such as healthcare, accessibility and environmental design. Students engage in live industry projects and international exchanges.

The MEDes pathway extends this approach through study across European partner institutions, embedding cultural diversity into design thinking. Graduates emerge with a nuanced, future-facing perspective, prepared to creatively shape complex social and technological landscapes.
