Anyi Guo
(She/Her)
As an illustrator and visual storyteller, I specialise in creating narrative-driven imagery that explores everyday experiences through simplified geometric forms. My practice focuses on translating daily observations into clear and engaging visual languages, often balancing abstraction with storytelling. I am passionate, optimistic, and deeply inspired by the details of ordinary life, always seeking to uncover the warmth, humour, and positive energy within familiar moments.
Spaces and Body
I was especially attracted by how they use materials such as wood and metal. I also tried to use clay, wood, and other materials to combine the human body with elements in the space, such as walls, tables, and furniture, trying to blur the boundary between body and environment.

At the same time, I used laser engraving to give a stronger space volume.

About Having a Home
This project explores questions around housing, ownership, and belonging in China. Through narrative illustration and graphic novel storytelling, it follows different characters across different time periods to reflect the transformation of housing from the planned economy era to commercial housing. And through wood engraving creates a stronger sense of volume and space.
