By the Wind, 2024–ongoing

By the Wind (2024 – ongoing) is a photography series capturing moments spent by the window — by myself or with friends — across shifting times and locations. Begun two years ago at the start of my gap year, the project became a way to document my changing surroundings during a period of frequent travel.

With windows as the common thread, these photographs frame indoor scenes and fleeting daily life. For me, a window is both an entrance and an exit — an empty frame holding fluid change. Mirroring this perspective, drawing near a window clears my mind, letting the breeze carry my thoughts toward distant horizons and welcoming subtle shifts in consciousness.

Myself, 2026

This work explores the condition of O Vazio-Pleno (the empty-full), aiming to transmit the sensation of ‘unexpected wonder’ experienced within emptiness. By affixing a minute label to one corner of an otherwise empty box, the piece invites viewers to approach from afar and happen upon a tiny detail nestled within the emptiness — a moment of sudden, subtle revelation.

One up, One down (or, Either Up, or Down), 2026

I encountered these two toys by chance in a charity shop. They were never meant to be a pair, existing instead as distinct, independent items. Yet, I became fascinated by the inherent directionality of their forms: one gesturing upward, the other downward. I applied wall filler to strip away their external appearance, color, and materiality, encouraging the audience to focus exclusively on the collective momentum of their silhouettes.

Developed during the same period as Myself (2026), this artwork serves as another expression of my existential state. At the same time, the white-covered objects act as a vessel or receptor, quietly absorbing and registering the subtle shifts of light, shadow, and ambience around them.
