These form the initial steps toward settlement, though many more would be needed to establish a rich, cultural, and functional support system. The manuals broadly address Context, Programme, and Technology—with overlaps and varied scales of investigation. The urban sprawl is first considered at a large scale, then zoomed into across the manuals, allowing each layer to be rigorously explored with sustainability and future-proofing at the core. Systems like rainwater collection, solar panels, and massing for solar gain are embedded from the outset, supporting a 75-year plan for independence and adaptation.
