As an illustrator, my practice focuses on sketchbooking as a tool for idea generation and the development of creative workshops. I aim to create illustrations that foster emotional connection, a theme I’ve recently explored in my karate publication.

Shotokan
This project investigates the practice and philosophy of Shotokan karate through a reportage-led approach, combining motion-based on-site illustrations, interviews, and contextual research. The final outcome is a publication that integrates traditional Japanese visual elements, reflecting the cultural origins and aesthetic principles of the martial art.
The physical design and construction of the book was developed in collaboration with graphic designer Zara Robertson, whose contributions helped shape the visual language and material presence of the piece.
