MSA Stage 5 School of Architecture

Eser Zeynep Tezel

(She/her)

As an architecture student interested in the emotional, social, and experiential dimensions of space, my work revolves around memory, collective rituals, and how architecture can respond to systems of power, especially in the context of shifting cities. With a passion for storytelling through space, my practice explores architectural gestures, whether through drawing, research, or built form, that hold time, evoke feeling, and create space for change, often drawing from overlooked fragments of history, place, and everyday life.

My recent project in Porto investigates the complex dialogue between cultural remnants and urban evolution, interpreting the city as a living palimpsest, a layered manuscript where past and present continuously rewrite one another, revealing hidden narratives within the built environment. Through excavation, material storytelling and spatial interventions, my work seeks to activate the forgotten layers of the city to inspire new ways of inhabiting and understanding space.
