Joe Cameron is a multi-media artist working in video, writing, photography, painting, drawing and installation. His work circulates around themes of phenomenological embodiment and being; the construction of identity through phantasy and mythologising. How we strive to create and maintain the fictions though which we can operate in relation to the people and world around us. How we as conscious agents are constituted; through memory, language, relation to other people and our own embodiment.​

Working between an intuitive way of generating material and a more conscious examination and interpretation, usually through a quasi-psychoanalytic lens which is then used to generate further reiterations or versions of work, with their own intuitive or coincidental tangents.
