(He/Him)

Culture and visual storytelling is at the heart of my practice. Between photography and art direction for fashion image, building a narrative and existing in a space that blurs the lines between constructed reality and documentary is what excites me.

I am driven by the intersection of design, culture, and craft, and constantly consuming/interrogating culture at every level to fuel this. Whether that be using Documentarian Adam Curtis’s filmography to create a physical publication, echoing his simultaneously hypnotic and informative visual style, or making portraits of motocross riders and MMA fighters in my year-long project documenting the English coastal town of Littlehampton.

Each avenue serves to broaden my perceptions as a communicator, ultimately resulting in a wide range of influences and outcomes that I intend to carry forward.

L.A

These images form part of a year-long project documenting the coastal English town of Littlehampton – affectionately known locally as LA.

Members of my family have lived here for as long as I can remember, and in the past two decades the town has changed dramatically.

I’m interested in the peculiar atmosphere that arises in a place caught between identities: where young people feel a growing sense of disillusionment, while planners work to rebrand the town for families seeking a life outside of London. It’s within this tension that a strange, uneasy kind of bliss emerges, one that feels unique to LA.
