Reed Hexamer

Reed Hexamer is an artist and researcher whose work wanders and perforates the membranes dividing ecological, archival, and somatic frameworks. Their practice uses sculpture, writing and sound to challenge dominant teleological systems of knowledge production, emerging via immersive fieldwork, personal history, and speculative inquiry. Through errant and unsettled research methodologies, Hexamer asks how knowledge is shaped, upheld, or dismantled through material, memory, metaphor, and myth. Their sculpture works sketch modes of porous storytelling that resist imperial legibility and remain open to new fugitive snags of relation.
