The G1 Hotel
The G1 Hotel is a Heritage Luxury Hotel with Contemporary Design in Glasgow.
The G1 Hotel provide timeless luxury in Glasgow City, drawing inspiration from the rich heritage, natural landscapes, and culture of Scotland, blended with the contemporary elegance of a modern sanctuary. The interiors of The G1 Hotel honour the spirit of Scotland, featuring the beauty, heritage, and energy of modern life, creating a place where past, present, and future meet.
The design carefully preserves key original features such as marble columns, original windows, and sandstone elements while integrating Victorian arch motifs into the hotel’s interior. Traditional Scottish tartan patterns are also reinterpreted in a contemporary luxury setting that creates a timeless dialogue between heritage and modernity. Gold is the primary colour, symbolising eternity while expressing wealth and power. Its presence throughout the design enhances the hotel’s enduring elegance and prestige atmosphere.
Lobby
The lobby gives an escape and refinement through its open spatial flow and grandeur. When guests enter, they are welcomed with an atmosphere that creates an immediate ‘wow’ impression, especially with the central void and the iconic tree statue. This powerful first impression sets the stage for an unforgettable luxury experience.
The central void is influenced by the architectural character of Scotland, with elegantly aligned windows enhancing the aesthetic. Together, the central motif of the Victorian arch is simplified to create a harmonious blend of modern and historic design.
Bar
The bar offers a curated selection of fine whiskies, honouring Scotland’s global reputation for whisky craftsmanship. While whisky leads the moment, various spirits and signature cocktails are also available. Surrounded by rich Scottish oak, guests are immersed in an atmosphere where they feel as if they are inside a whisky barrel. The design pays tribute to the distillation process and Scotland’s rich history, establishing the bar as a distinctive new destination in Glasgow.
