I am a self-driven creative with an exploratory design process, constantly drawing inspiration from the world around me. Being Mauritian of Chinese descent has shaped the way I create, as growing up within a multicultural island lifestyle led me to explore the idea of hybridity in my work: the merging of cultures, people, and even mediums. Music is another major source of inspiration as it stimulates imagination and ideas. In the same way, my work aims to evoke feeling and imagination. While I enjoy creating realistic scenes through paintings and renders, I am also interested in venturing into abstraction because of its fluidity and openness to interpretation.

As a graduate interior designer, I aspire to keep exploring ideas, testing boundaries, and merging disciplines. Whether through design, art, music, or film, I am constantly re-evaluating my work and experiences in order to create experiences that tell a compelling story of my own.

More Than Music: The Film

This film is a hybrid documentary film essay combining rehearsal footage, interviews with various music groups, and personal narration grounded in my experience playing in a band. Through reflections and questions, it invites viewers to consider what creates connection beyond the music itself.
