Development

These works vary widely in media and material as I was experimenting with different methods of involving chance and ‘randomness’, working within set parameters and from pre-set rules. This involved a lot of rolling, printing, moving and dropping, as well as adopting a collage-style method of merging together different results and trying to find something of importance within the final results.

With this project I wanted to explore the intersection of chance and movement, seeking to capture those fleeting moments that might shape our memories before they are gone. Through my broad range of experimentation I have sought to find new ways of capturing the essence of movement in all its complexity and aimed to give it the space to be interpreted.
