red and yellow, blue and green
In Corpus, theorist Jean-Luc Nancy writes “the body makes room for existence”. In important respects for subjective photography, the space nurtures a signal (an internalized sign). From the reception of sensations, a metaphysical perception occurs. Leaving details intentionally vague, the work serves as an indeterminate signal; this missing information and context, due to the material choices, affect our ability to derive meaning or fill gaps in the visual imagery. The instability of this visual creates a space for the viewer to project their own subjective readings.
